Cookie Policy
1. What Are Cookies and Local Storage?
Cookies are small alphanumeric text files stored on your computer, tablet, or mobile device by websites that you visit. They are widely used to ensure websites function correctly, enhance browsing efficiency, and provide aggregated analytics to site administrators.
In addition to standard HTTP cookies, Rankletcompss uses browser localStorage to remember your privacy choices (e.g. suppressing the cookie consent banner once accepted) without transmitting personally identifiable information across servers.
2. Classification of Cookies We Use
We classify our digital storage mechanisms into three distinct tiers:
| Cookie Category | Technical Purpose | Duration | Classification |
|---|---|---|---|
| rankletcompss_cookie_consent | Stores your cookie consent preference in localStorage so the consent banner does not re-appear on subsequent page visits. | 12 Months (Persistent) | Strictly Necessary (Exempt from consent) |
| session_id_sec | Maintains secure UI rendering state and prevents cross-site request forgery (CSRF) across forms. | Browser Session | Strictly Necessary |
| _ga_stat_anon | Collects aggregated, IP-anonymized telemetry on page load speeds and editorial guide engagement. | 6 Months | Performance & Analytics (Requires Consent) |
| ui_theme_prefs | Remembers map viewing toggles and itinerary filter parameters for user convenience. | 30 Days | Functional |
3. How to Manage and Disable Cookies in Your Browser
You maintain full control over cookie permissions. Most modern web browsers allow you to manage your cookie preferences through their internal settings menus:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Third-Party Cookies → Block or manage exceptions.
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Enhanced Tracking Protection.
- Apple Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Prevent cross-site tracking and block all cookies.
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and Site Permissions → Manage and delete cookies.
Please note that disabling strictly necessary session cookies may impact the visual rendering and responsive menu behavior of our platform.
4. Policy Updates and Inquiries
We may update this Cookie Policy periodically to reflect technological adjustments or legal statutory updates. If you have questions regarding our cookie practices, please contact us at [email protected].
