The 10-Day Geothermal Progression

Days 1 – 3: Bagno Vignoni Renaissance Square & San Quirico

Begin in the ethereal village of Bagno Vignoni. Base at a thermal hotel overlooking the 16th-century steaming square. Spend afternoons soaking in the warm sulfur pools of Parco dei Mulini and walking the ancient Via Francigena trail.

Days 4 – 5: The White Whale of Bagni San Filippo

Drive into the chestnut forests at the foot of Monte Amiata. Soak in the natural calcified travertine pools of Fosso Bianco and the massive white mineral formation known as the "Balena Bianca" (White Whale).

Days 6 – 7: San Casciano dei Bagni & Etruscan Bronzes

Discover the ancient Roman and Etruscan marble sanctuaries of San Casciano dei Bagni, where recent archaeological digs revealed extraordinary bronze votive statues submerged for over 2,000 years.

Days 8 – 10: Cascate del Mulino & Terme di Saturnia

Conclude in the Maremma with early morning sunrise baths in the natural stepped travertine waterfalls of Saturnia, followed by biodynamic wine tastings in Scansano.
